Yesterday, while I was doing a reality check. I do the nose reality check (hold your nose and check if you can breathe) and directly after my nose started bleeding. Then tonight I woke up, with a nosebleed in the other nostril.
Are the nosebleeds related to the reality check? Has this happened to anyone else before?

Nosebleeds certainly aren't a consequence of the reality check...unless you're seriously overdoing it.
But whatever may be the cause of the nosebleeds, you can always pick up a different reality check instead just to avoid affecting your nose with the check, even if it isn't the check itself that's causing the bleeding.

I think you should just change to a different check. I personally don't like the nose-breathing one.
I also do the hands check, but that doesn't actually work for me. The nose check has worked in a dream before; but I can't do it at the moment (just got my third nosebleed in two days). What other checks are there?
I use the 'put your finger through your palm' one.
Are you blowing when you do the nose check? All that is required is to pinch the nose--you don't have to force breath out of it (or into it).
Try stretching a finger, or looking at a digital watch (and double checking the time). Those are good ones, too.
I pinch my nose and then I try to breath in through my nose, but I'm not doing anything else.
Unfortunately I don't have a watch...I'm not really a watch person.

Dang, nosebleeds. Well, don't pinch your nose so hard, plus breathe out/in through your nose gently. If it still bleeds, go use another reality check. How about slapping yourself? No jokes (and not too hard with the slaps), but you usually don't feel pain when you do that.
