Hi,
Has anybody listened to music while attempting WILD? Does the music (or even the type of music) affect your ability to LD?
Thanks,
FF.

Fred Flinstone? haha
Sorry.
I listen to music whenever I sleep.
I started listening to a particular type of music as I WILD just to see if it changes my dream. So far it hasn't carried over or hasn't altered my dreams noticably.
I did notice though that the music sometimes winks out and that makes me wonder if I'm dreaming. And usually I am in dream if the music stops.
This is sort of like my MAILD guide or at least on of the points in it
Yes, more often than not I put on Music and/or the tv, because my family is so noisy downstairs. But I only heard clear music in one dream, for the length of one song. The music doesnt really distract me from wilding, but if theres the morning show(ppl talking and telling stories) that DOES distact me, and I can't wild.
FredFlintstone, there are plenty of MP3s and MP4s posted on this forum which have lucid dreaming inductions and/or subliminals imbedded in music that you can listen to.
If you click on the "Search" link next to the "Staff" link above and use the search words "mp3* download" or "mp4* download".. you will be provided with a lot of posts that include mp3s/mp4s that you can download.
Do you reckon listening to music and focusing on the lyrics would help you stay aware whilst WILDing?
It has worked for me but it couldn't hurt for you to try it and see.
Hi,
Thanks for the replies everybody.
Yep, Fred Flintstone - as in Fred Flintstone, Bedrock... If you don't like it I'll get my good friend Barney to give you a good Rubble-ing! (that sounds a bit mucky actually...)Quote:

Thanks, although I'm more interested in the effects that music has while attempting to WILD.Quote:
Clarity
I'll see if it helps, cheers all! :)

People always say to WILD 5 or 6 hours after you finish an REM cycle, cause you are more relaxed, but, in theory, if you were to listen to...say Marconi Union, (the most relaxing song ever recorded) then wouldn't you be relaxed enough to do it then? food for thought ;)
Well, it's WILDing in WBTB after 5-6 hours of sleep, not after REM, and not for the reason of being more relaxed, but because it's much simplier to reach REM and keep awareness in WBTB than when going to sleep at normal time.
Also please, don't post in threads which haven't seen activity for years, especially when OP wasn't on for years as well, it's considered necroposting. Thanks. :)
