I just dont understand.. if i wake up during the night.. i can easily get back into a dream within 5 seconds.. this is how i often get my lucid dream's.. it's called DEILD... so why in the world does getting up and walking around for a while improve the chances of getting a WILD?? it's about getting to sleep whilst aware... and who the hell wants to go through SP aneyway? it's terrorfying, so. is it possible to WILD say about 4 seconds after waking???... if not, then why:?:
The thing about waking up in the night is it gets you closer to your REM stage
i no that... but why would you have to walk around or get up for WILD to work.. as far as im conserned the faster u can fall asleep the better... and if thats not right then DEILD kick's ass compared to WILD!
yeah, this is a personal thing for most WBTB methods.
Some WBTBers find it hard to keep their mind on the task without getting up.
Some WBTBers find it hard to get back to sleep if they get up.

YOU can, not everyone. If you find a method that works like that, great..but some people cannot get this to work. Its a matter of tuning
DEILD does kick WILDs ass. As it is a WILD, only much faster.Quote:

I don't think getting up before WILD is always necessary, it just makes it easier because you wake your mind up more so you don't just lose consciousness straight away. I have the reverse problem, I think it wakes me up too much and my body won't fall asleep. Everyones different.
I think it just depends on the person. If you find it easy to wake up and in five seconds be back in the same or a lucide dream, then that is the way it works for you.
For me, I've done both but have more luck when i get up and keep myself up for at least 10 minutes.
screw wilds, i dont think there's anything special about them, i think u doing ur DIELD is way better

My second LD was a DIELD :banana::banana:.
I awoke last night around 1:30 and tried to WILD (just telling myself im dreaming over and over). I Didnt get as far as SP, and never have, but i did feel like my hands had twisted round and were on the wrong arms, which was odd. and my finger and thumb kept randomly touching, which distracted my concentration. Plus, at the moment i woke around 1:30 i now remember constantly reaching down from my bed, to the floor, to pick up a pole that i thought i'd dropped. :roll: .
I've had one DILD so far. WILD's havent helped me at all, its been several months since i got interested in lucid dreaming and all they do is just make me hungry.
