Duration of sleep and guidance NEEDED :S

After setting my alarm at a different time for a period of a week, i have noticed no effect on how close i get to becoming lucid... i really don't know when is the best time for me (and i know everyone is different) but i have no idea how to find out. A trial and error method does not seem to work for me. I'm pretty frustrated now, and i know that this is certainly not the right attitude to have but i see no real light at the end of the tunnel.

Enthusiasm dwindling fast seeing as my friend IRL "Dizko" seems to have more opportunities and close calls than i. Again, everyone is different, but its been near 3 months now and not even a DILD... just sleep paralysis....

Don't give up!

Have you started and kept up a dream journal? These will help immensely with both your ability to remember your dreams and your ability to recognize them when you're dreaming.

And make sure you're doing reality checks.

Hell, i have only remembered one dream for over two month! (and it wasent lucid>__<)
So keep your spirit up!
BTW have you tried the water technique? im no expert but i might help^^

replying to Wave, yes i have been keeping a dream journal for over 3 months nearly, i even had a night where i remembered 5 dreams, fully.

Last night however i tried to WILD without going to bed. I went to bed around 3:30am and lay there for about 10-15 mins and then went into SP, after another 5 mins i noticed that EVERYTHING went white, and since i wear earplugs, the sound of my beating heart disappeared, no noise, not even that brain static noise, but then i started to feel uncomfortable with breathing as if i had a blocked nose or something and then i came back into reality. I felt the "shift" i have felt only once before. Its made me annoyed and pleased at the same time....

ill just have to keep trying :)
