First actual lucid dream...I think!

Last night I think I had a lucid dream. So, in the middle of the night in a dream (I have no idea when it was, or what happened before and after it), I was jumping up and down in a field, hundreds of feet in the air. I knew I was dreaming to begin with somehow. After a few seconds, it began to fade away. I remembered to spin to gain control back. I spun counterclockwise (not sure if that matters) and everything became blurry. Then it faded away into who knows what. I'm not sure if that's when I woke up or if I went into another dream.

But I have a question. I never induced the dream. It just happened. At random, in the middle of the night. I also never realized I was dreaming at any point. I knew it to begin with. What would this be classified as (DILD, WILD, FILD, etc)?

Also, another question. I remember that when I was in the dream, it was real, as real as real life. But when I woke up, it was like remembering something I had thought of earlier. I didn't remember it as something I did. It was the same quality as any other dream. I kept thinking, oh, it probably wasn't really a lucid dream, just a "I thought I was lucid" dream, because of the quality. Any verification?

Any dream in which you know you are dreaming, while you are doing it is a lucid dream. So this was a lucid. Congrats! :)
It would be a DILD (Dream inciated Lucid Dream).
Lucid dream it may be, but all LDs differ in quality. This one feels like a regular dream because you lost lucidity, or woke up went back to sleep without writing it down. To remedy this you need to work on your dream recall, and you need to make sure you dont lose lucidity. When the dream ends, dont go back to sleep without writing it down! Your LDs will feel a lot more realistic if you do this :)

Thanks! Actually I have no memory of what happened before or after the lucid dream. It was just something that happened randomly in the middle of the night and I remembered it in the morning and wrote it down.

I would say that is the main reason that you are not remembering it more vividly. I have noticed that the LDs that I have that are in the middle of dream that I do not wake up after just seem fuzzier when I recall them.

This should improve as you have more LDs. After most of my LDs I will either wake up on my own, or I will make myself wake up after I have had a long LD just so I can write it down while it is still fresh and vivid. The memory seems much more real then.
