      Do you have some good exercises to improve body awareness?

      Hello again people.
      I would be interested in some interesting exercises which you use to improve your body awareness. I am planning to go for tactile wild, and i guess the first step is to find out, how body actually feels like before inducing anything.

      So I am not searching for any technique, just some good tips, or playful exercises which will eventually help me with tactile wild.

      LaBerge's book "Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming" (aka the lucid dreamer's bible) is filled with exercises like this. Unfortunately I don't have it with me here so I can't give you any examples.

      I readed the book many times. I liked it. Still I would like to know your experiences. Your stories about how playful you can get. You know. The more emotions and invention you put in, the more helpful .... Still thanx.

      I think your looking for more techniques to improve the tactile body, it's reather difficult to find them, most people don't even understand what use it even has.

      Begin with a small painting brush, or anything with an interesting sensation to run acrossed your skin, and then move it acrossed your arm or palm or whatever, and trace the sensation by keeping a steady focus on the portion of the skin effected by the sensations, after awhile of doing this try to duplicate the feeling in your own mind, you can do it with other objects too, touch surfaces then right after imagen what you just felt. I'll add this to the tutorial I made later.

      This is exactly right. For a more comprehensive list of things to do, read Astral Dynamics by Robert Bruce. I chose to skip over all the eastern mysticism BS and went right to the mobile body awareness and tactile imaging sections.

      I like to imagine the tip of a pencil drawing circles on the knuckle between my thumb and my hand. Soon, I start to actually feel it. If I keep it up, eventually it turns into a bone-deep tingling.

      I've gotten good enough that I can forego the pencil and just imagine a glowing blue spot of energy spinning in a circle on my thumb, (or the bottom of my feet works good too), and I can feel the same sensations.

      Another one is to visualize a strip of glowing blue energy across your palm (start with imagining the side of a credit card if that's too abstract). Imagine it scraping up and down your hand, from your wrist to your fingertips. I always feel it more in the fingertips.

      In the book, he says to visualize "sponging" energy up through your legs and arms, but I can't feel the tingling outside of my hands and feet. I don't know.

      . Thanx people. My question and your answers seem to go from the same source. I readed astral dynamics and found some intersting techniques there. I practice them. Still i have applied then just on my hands and am gradually moving to rest of my body.

      So astral dynamics by Robert Bruce is known by me. So now. As we know having the same source of information. We might talk about the variations of our experiences. And the results of applying the techniques on our lucid dreaming experience.

      I am trying to achieve a state, where I will move my dream body out of my physical body. There are some positive signs. I have never felt burning hands before and couldnt concentrate my body awareness as i can do now.

      Now i am in search for more games and variations to improve it just further. I am not in desperate need of them, just would like to be playful .
