From what I've read, RILD and PILD are only about punishing yourself when you fail to have a lucid dream, and reward yourself when you sucessfully have one. I've never heard about using autosuggestion with those techniques?
I would assume that RILD and PILD work well together. Personally, I'm a bit sceptic to the effectiveness of the techniques, and I've never heard of anyone using them before.

what i mean by 'autosuggestion' is that; it is one thing to punish and reward yourself, yet does it actually transfer into your mind, and what do you have to say to yourself to make that transfer?
I think what you would need to tell yourself something like "Since I did not lucid dream last night (insert punishment)."
Or
"Since I had a successful lucid dream last night (insert reward here)."
Note: I AM IN NO WAY SUGGESTING A PERSON SHOULD DO THIS TECHNIQUE
Before you diss the possiblity of a technique like this, I suggest you refresh yourself with the studies of BF Skinner and other behaviorists.
I currently implement RILD. When I have a lucid dream, I get 5 Jelly Bellys. They're my all time favorite candy, and I've restricted myself to eating them only when I get a LD.
I haven't yet figured out an effect PILD though.
Yeah that's good that it's something more mellow like that... this PILD sounds like it could get pretty nasty. Self punishment is not a happy area to discuss.
Oh, it wouldn't be anything seriously damaging. Something like a cold shower. But I'm not willing to give up my warm morning shower.

How about pushups - that could get you LDing AND ripped :P
