My Reality Check problem

I just don't have success with RC's. Not that they fail, but for some reason I can NEVER remember to RC in a dream. But today after I woke this morning from a good dream, I realized that A LOT of my dreams have money in it (I dont keep a DJ so it took me a while to realize this). I'm now realizing that that could be a good RC for me because for some reason I happen to carry one 4 dollar bill in a lot of my dreams...(of course they don't exist) so hopefully this will eventually work for me.

I do RC's in real life all the time so I don't know why this is so hard.

Firstly I'd say you should start keeping a dream journal since it really helps your concious mind to become more aware of dream memories and what it feels like to be dreaming. Also its more important to be on the lookout for Dreamsigns while awake than simply doing Reality Checks during the day in the hopes that you will start doing them routinely while asleep (The RC's are there to help you establish whether you are in the waking world or not).

There was a tutorial by BillyBob dealing with these issues but I can't seem to find it at the moment.

Just try to remember to do a RC when you handle money in waking life.

Put a small note on your wallet or whatever you use to carry your money in so you can't help but RC when you take out money. Linking a RC to an action that occurs regularly in both waking and dream life is bound to be more effective than random RCs during the day.

Tell you what....whenever you are required to handle money like paying for things etc, look for the 4 dollar bill in your wallet. Most likely you will find it if it's a dream, you don't even need to do an RC because you'd know it's a dream!

Good luck with the money idea; and as far as RCs go it is just habit. You need to hardwire them into your subconscious mind.. and thats harder than it sounds :D

What helped me was to buy a watch that beeps every hour, and do a RC every time it beeps.

I think that RCs when your holding, or posses money would definitely put you on the right track.



Maybe try autosuggestion while you do your RCs, it definitely couldn't hurt.
