How to stay "observant" rather than "interactive"

Hey guys,

Well after a long time trying to WILD i have finally gotten into the right state of mind :boogie:.

Well last night i was lying in bed, this was when going to bed for the first time before sleep, and i felt the usual tingly sensations i feel when i lie perfectly still and relaxed, using Laberge's pin-point relaxation technique, i then started the say "ok I'm going to have a lucid dream" etc etc, then my mind wandered a little weirdly but i took no notice of it.

I was thinking about random things in my life such as school, family and friends but not too in depth or getting any emotional feelings. I then realised that my body was incredibly numb, obviously meaning SP.

So i continued thinking of random relaxing things, then all of a sudden, which i have NEVER gotten before was the really loud sound much akin to an engine right in my ears. I have heard a lot of people say that this is what they get sometimes on the forums so i thought "oh this is cool".

Straight away after i heard this continuous loud noise i saw some HI which i have seen before, but nothing in as much detail...

it started off like this,

then it disappeared, at this point i got strong vibrating feeling all over my body, but particularly in my ass :shock: xD i then tried to block it out.. at that point some more HI came into view... looking like this but revolving at a moderate speed...

After these were spinning, through the center i saw my hands, but being, IMHO, still partially awake, i believe i got too involved with the HI and visions at the beginning.

I get too involved with things all too easily... and i was wondering after seeing my problem, can any1 suggest anything other than just forget it...

i also tried to slowly lift my hands up but i realised i was awake when i tried this and the slowly got out of SP lol

Also the bum tingling part really made me laugh xD

For me I either ignor HI or I just watch it. Just relax and don't move. Sometimes I get the sensation that my mind is racing, but it never seems to interfeer with my ability to enter a dream. Just relax, hang out, and be calm. Patience.

ok it happened again but ur advice didnt work, and i honestly tried it... any more methods?

Ive been having a similar problem recently. When I feel that rush of entering a dream, and sometimes hear the loud noise, I get startled awake. Its happened three times in the last week.

I was going to try to stay more focused on one thing. Like counting or a set visualization. I figure this way, I will not be as distracted or surprised.

I too have gotten the loud sound, usually it startles me awake adn i jump up, it has happened to me two distinct times where i was laying there and my mind began to wander bu tnot too much and i got the halucinations, then a really loud growling sound startled me and i jumpe dup as it stopped

I dont get sounds like that as such. Just a really loud, ear peircing and almost sore windy sound.

Sorry i cant offer much advice Niddiboy but do keep me updated.
