... you've never heard of the novadreamer before?
Id rather lucid dream without the help of machines...though Ive heard they work amazingly well....But I dont know about sleeping with that thing on.
$500 man! Jeese...
go and search for the amazingly long post i made about LD goggles (because i am too lazy) we had about 10 different ideas, one, where you wouldnt even need to wear anything
Yeah the Novadreamer is a rip off. It works, but it's a rip off.
You can download programs for free on your computer that does almost the exact same thing as the Novadreamer (No REM sensor, flashes monitor/plays sounds) but if you know your sleep cycles well it'll be just as good.
The reason it sucks is because it doesn't work.
But if it didnt work it wouldnt have been made. Its a great idea with external stimulus for people who maybe never have heard of LD and want to have it the fast way, learning them how to have it, thoughe its differnt from person to person how effective it is. I dont think a respected dream reasearcher like Stephen Laberge tries to scam people of by selling useless tools. But i agree its really EXSPENISIVE.
ok... that guy must be retarded!! i guarantee it doesnt cost even close to 500$ for that mask!!! if he charged like $100 much more people would buy it and then he could make a shit load of money.... i hope some day someone will tell him this so i can buy his mask for a reasonable price
u say i can download programs that work just as well?? umm how/where??
I've never tried the NovaDreamer. It's too expensive and I wouldn't want to become depended on a machine. The NovaDreamer probably works for some people, but I've seen some very phony products out there that claim to give you lucidity (a lucid dreaming pillow :rolllaugh: ??!!! )
a lucid dreaming pillow!!!!
where can i get one?
This is quite interesting, I found this info on toolsforwellness.com
Quote:
The NovaDreamer has been unavailable to us for quite some time. If you can find the NovaDreamer online, you might see it advertised for $495. The \"correct\" price for this product is $275, and we refuse to participate in unfair pricing practices that others are.
Be careful.. and don't get ripped off!
All inquiries to the manufacturer have gone unanswered for the past 2 years.
FOR THIS REASON, WE ARE NO LONGER OFFERING THE NOVADREAMER FOR SALE.
[/b]
Wheres that quote from?
I found it here:

has anyone else seen anything like this about the ND?
Lucidity institute sells it for $495.00 so I am pretty sure that you won't get it much cheaper than that unless it's used.

NovaDreamer $495; 3-day $17 (3-7 business days)
I think the price is a bit high (too damn high), But I am sure he uses the money for research (or those trips to Hawaii every year). I would'nt go as far as calling him a retard. A bussiness man maybe. I would like to get a hold of one of those a lot cheaper. They are hard to come by used.
too expensive for my blood, natural lds are much cheaper and much more satisfying... you do it without the aid of a machine!
very true, i think you should work to have lucid dreams before you get them, having a machine do all the work for you doesnt make the sense of having a lucid dream as fun, but the novadreamer is very cool, and the person who said that Laberge was a retard really needs to read his book.
i'm sure it works. afterall, laberge has truckloads of cred. (EWLD is a nessesity.)
But even after you've paid $475, you still have to train yourself to recognise the light flashes. They're meant to be incorporated in really random ways... seems better and cheaper to just stick to freebies.
isn't the whole practise of increasing your awareness of everyday life half the fun? or at least.. half the benifit of LDing naturally.
Well I see that some of you guys have decided to ignore or discredit my previous post. But a little FYI for those interested, I DID find it on another site for $275 brand new, not used. But I woudn't buy this device since I agree with most who say that it is much more satisfying when you can accomplish it without the use of these devices...like I have...finally! (only took 2 weeks) :D
oops... $275* i read your post, i wasn't thinking.
its really just a matter of opinion whether you use it or not..
still bnot a reasonable price.... common its a freakin mask with lights and such how could it be sold for that much!!
First sentence.. how sadly naive.. look at this site i found looking for a cheaper alternative to the Novadreamer (just as an example)Quote:

ALSO.. it is apparent that Dr. Stephen Laberge, founder of the lucidity institute, and coinventor of the Novadreamer, is a filthy capatalist and although the tool he sells is not useless, it is outrageously overpriced. It used to go for $200 US (an already excessive price considering there are no expensive components, just some infrared LEDs, infrared sensors, light LEDs, cheap-ass speakers, and some circuitry, consider dropping by radioshack and building your own) to student members of the lucidity institute. Now its been jacked up to $500!!! I have seen it priced as high as $950!!!! This makes me sick.. im going to go vomit now..
