W.I.L.D.
Every night I attempt a W.I.L.D. and only go about halfway. I lay down and have no difficulty concentrating on my breathing and then I start feeling like Im paralyzed, I get the Hypnagogic imagery and the really strange unearthly sounds. I havent really had a lucid dream yet from doing a W.I.L.D. but just the other day while doing a W.I.L.D., I started going in and out of the lucid dream. I dreamt that I was moving my leg and I could feel it in the dream but I was still aware of the real world and knew I wasnt moving in real life. And also as I was about to go into a lucid dream and I started seeing small random objects that would change from time to time floating against an ugly dark yellow backround. I would see the object and it would start to get further and further away. It made me feel really dizzy.

yea this afternoon i lied down for about 40 minutes trying to do this WILD and i didnt quite get as far as you, i wasnt moving watsoever so my legs and arm starting to feel numb, then a sort of saw a mouth with big lips but not very clear at all , it kinda startled me and then after that my dog started barking so i tried to block it out and i was imagining him barking then the phone rang 2 times so i just gave up! its hard! i blocked out the sounds of a lawnmower though, which is easy anyways

its easy for me to block out sounds! :D

All my attempts at having a W.I.l.D have been horrible failures. :(

hey dreamers. im new to LDing.and i got adopted by gameover..
I haven't had a proper LD yet but it hasn't even been a week.
Im the same with W.I.L.D, i get to the numbish paralized state with slight visuals but i cant quite get the whole way to a LD coz im still half conciouss
im gonna try the WBTB method courtesy of GAMEOVER and see how i go.
anyone got any REALLY simple begginers method with guarenteed success??? but everyone differs i spose....dream on

xzad (mind if I call you that?), welcome to DV! It took me around 3 weeks to get my first LD and I attribute that to WBTB. I've had a total of 2 in the time I've been here, but it's an awesome experience.
There's no guaranteed method to induce LDs, but there are quite a different things you can try. Definitely keep a dream journal to work on dream recall and look for dream signs. You're lucky to have someone as...smart as game over ;) I hope to hear some success stories soon!
Don't hesitate to ask if you have any other questions.

If you are really approaching WILD, it is very quick. Just relax and it will take you in a dream. You may try to visualize or follow your thougth without engaging them to relax and let go of your body.
