I was talking to Lena when something appeared. i kept trying to make something appear and i couldn't, and then i said to Lena, this is probably a dream and i'm going to HATE myself when i wake up. then i threw a punch at lena(but didn't hit her; i didn't think i was dreaming)
This is the second time this has happened.
HELP!!!!
I'm confused, what is your question? Were your reality checks to try to make something appear and to try to hit someone, and you want to know how make sure they don't fail?Quote:

As for what happened in your dream, if this person Lena apearrs oftenly in your dreams, maybe everytime you see her, try to remind yourself to RC, even if your not in a dream.

This will sound very negative but willing to things appear in lucid dreams is near impossible unless you really believe it can be done in real life. Even if you do believe it can be done in real life it is still difficult to make things appear....because you have to make something appear out of thin air in real life to see that in the dream. Don't forget you are lucid in the dream and hence logic and impressions of what is and what isn't comes into play. Making things appear out of thin air is illogical and not possible when it comes to conciousness. Many would say it takes practise but I doubt so unless you can practise making things appear in real life as practise. What you can do is to use some device in real life to use it as a reality check. If it works your dreaming...at least it's better than willing things to appear with no reason why.Quote:

LOL...:D..I wish! I was saying the dream is by default literal. What you do in reality, you can do in the dream and vice versa...imagining it will appear will result the same in the dream..imagining. So one possible way is to 'trick' the dreaming mind into creating something but with a reason. Like for example a remote control unit in real life that you can 'program' in advance before sleeping that certain number buttons would replicate an object or item that you want. But you'd have to really believe that it is supposed to do that. Another fail safe method is to use the device as primary reality check but if the device does not create anything as expected then a secondary reality check has to be done whenever the device does not work.

i meant making things appear in a dream by the way, and seeing it on t.v. while you're awake (obviously).
basically my question is why was i not able to levitate things and make them appear, because i had done it accidently so i thought to would happen. for once, i actually thought i was dreaming.
