Argh.... so close
Before I start, I guess you should know that I've been trying this LD induction thing for about a week without luck yet, but at least my dream journal is filling up.
So, last night I was lying in bed trying to fall asleep, and I thought to myself "why not do a quick RC?", but my arms were too tired to move (since the RC I intended to do was the one where you inhale while pinching your nose shut). Suddenly I'm dreaming that I'm standing in a room, but like in most dreams I never thought to question how I got there. Thing is, now that my arms are freed up, and I was just thinking about doing a RC, I went ahead and pinched my nose shut, and yes, I still inhaled. Unfortunately that woke me up right away, and I was breathing harder and faster than usual. What happened, did I get too excited? Or was I just very easily awakened because I had just fallen asleep?

Ooh, close. I think you just got excited, hence the reason you were breathing hard.
You were nearly there, though, and you should keep trying!

wow! you should be very proud! its quick progress, and now at least you know it's possible! go for it! :)

Well, it happened again last night. Unfortunately I forgot most of the dream, but I did remember this: I was standing on a street corner waiting for the crossing light to change, and I'm not sure why, but it suddenly hit me that I was probably dreaming. So I did the nose-pinch thing, and it worked, and then I just kept telling myself to stay calm so I wouldn't wake up, and I walked across the street. A few seconds later, I guess I lost lucidity, because I can't remember anything else. Crappy LD, but hey, it's progress...

You mentioned you had problems remembering your dream so make sure you work on recall as well as RCing; it will make things much easier.
