Help
I just started trying to have lucid dreams. But I'm a bit confused, is it necessary to wake your self up about every two hours to remember your dreams, because i am having a hard time with dream recall. I'm not sure where to begin! How long does it take usually to have your first lucid dream? I know lucid dreams are possible because in the past i have had a few, but never been able to control them. This is a new experience for me for the most part.

It's not necessary at all. It may help, but I personally don't find that it helps me very much. Are you telling yourself every night that you will remember every dream you have? It works wonders.
I had my first lucid dream after 9 nights of trying. I'd recommend to a beginner to try out the WBTB and WILD methods. I find that WBTB by itself works very well for me. And read this:

Good Luck!

Actually...
I'm not even sure what WILD is. I read the whole web site, or at least i think did. What does WILD stand for? What does it mean?

What is WTBT? I'm not sure what any of these acronyms are.
