You should probably try both, one for a night, and the next night the other. It's hard to tell what you'll be good at, heck you could be one of those people who WILDs within moments of trying, or just a really good FILDer.
However I recommend that upon waking up, if you can stop yourself from moving or opening your eyes very much, then go for a DEILD (WILD type technique) that's just like a classic WILD, except you don't move (it works way better, but it is harder to not move upon waking up). Then if you fail that, give FILD a try.

By FILD I assume you mean the famed finger induced lucid dream?
Maybe im getting confused (there's enough ILD's out there to justify it) but I just wanted to point out that FILD is actually a WILD (wake induced/initiated lucid dream). Its the same thing, FILD is just a method of achieving a WILD.
So its not FILD vs WILD but FILD vs some other WILD technique.

Also I had a very good result of FILD. Here is a tip for you.
Set your alarm for the time you want to WBTB. When you lie in Bed do FILD. If it does not work, then stay up for an hour. After that do WILD. If the first one failed you have WILD, if it works you dont need WILD.
JUST GOOGLE IT.
But seriously, WILD seems to work better for me.
I just had an LD by doing a WBTB with the FILD technique. I think WBTB is definitely the easiest way to get a lucid dream, so if you're looking to get one quick, I'd definitely recommend WBTB.
