This morning when I woke up I realized that my alarm was 30 minutes early. Instead of putting the alarm for 30 more minutes I kept hitting the snooze button and after 3 or 4 times of hitting it I had a DILD. I had no idea that that would be a way to induce lucid dreams.
Has this happened to anyone else??
Dozing in the morning definitely gives me weird dreams and some lucids. I'm sure being nervous about the alarm going off has something to do with it also. Sometimes I will wake up 10 minutes before my alarm, and lie there expecting it to go off. I always have weird dreams when that happens.
I find that time of the morning, shortly before I get up the best time for having vivid dreams; both lucid and nonlucid.
yes, that happens because youre in a lighter state of sleep, therefore more aware, its hapened to me many times before.:)
This gives me an idea. I should create an audio file using a beeping sound which would only beep every 30 mins. This is to wake me back into an aware state as I'm drifting off to sleep. =p sweet idea.

It hasn't happened to me but I'm going to try it in the morning. I usually hit the snooze quite a few times:)
I've used alarms for years now (I use my mobile phone as my alarm clock, so i can have multiple alarms set up on it).
I used to have an alarm go off every morning at 5am - so at 5am I'd half consciously move a bit, put my arm under my pillow for my phone to turn it off and then go back to sleep again pretty much instantly.
(I put the phone under the pillow because it stops the alarm from being a shrill noise which wakes me up too suddenly)
