Does WILD give you more vividness/clarity then DEILD? I know DEILD is a form of WILD, but I mean, does the dream seem more like real life when you start out fully awake and do the entire WILD procedure then just reentering the dream through DEILD?

I've never succeeded in ordinary WILD, but the one accidental DEILD I've had was extremely vivid, definitely as much as real life and more vivid than my average lucid dream, so I suspect the answer is no.
I agree with Serith in that my personal experience has shown my DEILDs to be more vivid than my WILDs. I'm crazy about DEILD, but hate WILD. Basically because I'm lazy and DEILD is nearly effortless. While for a successful WILD I usually spend two or more sleepless hours laying in bed before anything happens. Then when the WILD eventually happens it is short, confused, and dull. I'm horrible at WILD.
However, I am aware of several experienced LDers who will swear up and down that WILDs are more vivid than DEILDs. They will even go on to explain that since a WILD is combined with a WBTB (usually) the conscious part of the mind has plenty of time to get fully turned on. Thus the WILD will be extreemly vivid and life-like.
So I can't really tell you defenitivly. Sorry!
