How long before it happens?

I dont expect anything to happen yet, only after 3 nights of keeping a dream journal. But its really discouraging because I dont see myself even getting any better at remembering my dreams, much less becoming lucid in them. The minute I wake up, I write down what I remember, which is next to nothing. I remember that I had a long involved dream, but I can barely see flashes of pictures in my head and can't even recount any details.

Anyway, how long has any of you had to wait until you saw something change? A week, a month, a year? Just wondering.

I'd say it varies for everyone. I started recording my dreams when I was very young, and I think that helped me jump into it right away. But for people who start at an older age, it's natural to have some difficulty recalling dreams if you haven't done it for most of your life. Don't get discouraged though. 3 days is very little time. As you practice, your recall will slowly improve as will your chances for lucidity. Just have patience and continue resolving that you will remember your dreams.

This morning I had a very vivid dream and I remembered it in detail! I didn't know I was dreaming and of course, I'm a little pissed off because there were so many things that would not have passed a reality check. But at least I remember it! :boogie:
