I looked for an answer on this site but couldn't find one, so I'm gonna post. If you have no hallucinations like me when you get vibrations, does that mean you can never get a WILD? I ask this because when people have vibrations, they say they're either seeing themselves exit a door or something, or jumping out of a window. Then they enter an LD. Please post meaningful answers! If you do you will be my friend!
Vibrations are basically the beginning of sleep paralysis, but unless sleep paralysis has taken full effect, you won't see any hallucinations or be able to enter a lucid dream. The visual hallucinations only occur (sometimes) once you're paralyzed, and at that point, you're able to exit into a lucid dream. The key, though, is attaining full sleep paralysis, and although the vibrations are the beginning of it, they may often "lead to nowhere" and just stop, without any paralyzing effect on your body, if you aren't calm enough, or if the conditions just aren't right. Personally, I've never achieved a state of sleep paralysis when attempting to WILD (I'm still working on it:sheepishgrin:), but I know I've come close, since I've experienced things such as vibrations and spinning sensations. However, I have experienced sleep paralysis naturally once or twice in my life, so I do know basically what it feels like. I don't know whether it would be any different when WILD'ing, but your entire body feels numb and very light, obviously you are unable to move for a few seconds (and it is said to last up to a few minutes, but this has never been the case for me), and there may be some auditory and/or visual hallucinations. It is also said that a great weight may be felt on your chest, although I do not remember feeling this, personally. But the feeling of sleep paralysis is unmistakeable, and this is where you may find yourself to be hallucinating and eventually entering a lucid dream, but the vibrations alone are not enough.
