WILDed but didn't get lucid

Well, gave WILD another try this morning. I stayed up for about 20 min after getting about 5 hrs of sleep. When I went back to bed, I began counting.

Not far into counting, maybe around just "5" or so, I felt a little numbness in my fingers. After that, they were a little hard to move.

The next thing I remember, I was laying down in bed and I opened my eyes. I saw my room but there was some text "floating" in the air...i think it was describing some LD techniques. I did an RC but it failed and I just went back to sleep.

Did I have a WILD without getting lucid?

...... I don't know what the hell that could've been. which rc did you do? and from what u said that sounds pretty fast for a succesful wbtb/wild.

I did the nose RC, which is weird because it usually never fails for me.

ok i know the nose rc can fail if you pinch too tight it's happened to me before. dont pinch so hard, cause if its closed in real life you cant breath anyway don't matter how hard you pinch. in the dreams, if you just pinch gently so your nostrils are closed, u will still be able to breathe. also try the light switch one if there's one nearby. if u can check to plug your nose, you can check to flip a switch if theres one nearby.

You shoud try atleast 3 RC, after that you shoud always know if youre in a dream or not

Yeah, you can definitely do a WILD and not become lucid. I cant tell you the number of times that this has happened to me.
It happens when you fall asleep (unconscious) at the last minute of trying to WILD, therefore, making the dream just as good as any other regular non-LD.:P
But sometimes I regain consciousness shortly after entering the dream, sometimes I dont.
