I didnt wanna roll over cause i was pretty chill and perfectly still. but nuthin happened so i turned over and fell asleep. what do you guys think would've happened had i kept goin.

Did you try and WILD when you first went to bed?

I usually try to DEILD when I can remember, and when I do that, it speeds them up TREMENDOUSLY. Usually the point from closing my eyes to numbness is less than 2 minutes, 3 tops. For me, numbness generally has some imagry or just a sinking into the dream.

From my experience, there are a few things which can happen:
1) You can start having series of times of unconsciousness (losing consciesness for a short time and regaining it), where the times where you're unconscious become longer and longer
it feels like time's passing by at high speed sometimes
2) You can become perfectly aware and highly concentrated (to me this happens after (1), after quite a long period of unconsciousness)
I often had clearer memory in that state, it was easier to focus on one thing
3) you may or may not fall asleep
I often did this when going to sleep, I know that I cannot fall asleep fully when lying on my back (unless I'm really tired) - maybe it's the same for you.
And I'm pretty sure it can help you induce lucid dreams, because as far as I am concerned, I know that when I'm in this state, and turn to the side, it's less than 5 minutes until I'm asleep :P (Unfortunately I haven't mastered WILDs yet, but I'm back to trying more often now - (I just have too many things on my mind, but lying down like that can also help clearing my mind))
For me the time from closing my eyes to numbness is about half an hour - when I first did it it was about an hour.
I guess it's something you can train :)

Yeah, that is uncomfortable!
I got that too, and my whole friggin body (including my ass:P) was totally numb. Really cool once you get used to it, but then I decided to turn around cause I got tired.
Just advice DONT! because the body tries to check if you are sleeping so it tells you: Aw screw it
So good luck on the WILD,
