      Hardcore Hallucinations

So last night was the night of my senior homecoming. After dinner i decided to take one of those 5 hour energy shots around 9pm and then i drank a whole 16oz Amp energy drink after the dance. When I got home I went to bed around 2am, went to bed and listened to some music. I listen to music to get relaxed and prepare for WILDs sometimes: this time it was just to relax.

I started drifting off to sleep, but I could not actually GO TO SLEEP. I remember entering a dream where I was driving on a road and as I was driving, trash cans were placed in the middle of the street causing me to swerve out of the way to avoid them. At dinner, some friends and I were talking about how we used to screw with people by putting various objects in the street.

This finally registered within my brain and I was REALLY EXCITED THAT I was lucid in this dream, unfortunately i wasn't in a deep enough sleep to actually keep the dream stable. Instead the dream faded and within the blacks of my eyes, i saw snapshots of the dream forming and dissipating.

This is where things got weird:

Knowing that I was awake, i decided to try and WILD for the night. I tried to attempt the "M WILD": a topic on here a week or so ago. Every time I thought about getting out of bed, the SP grew more intense. All the sudden my whole body was in between to states of mind. Then I realized -

CRAP, I cant enter the dream world when my music is playing THIS loud! And yet it was also playing my favorite song. I put my hands up to my ears to take the headphones off and then

Nothing. My music wasn't playing at all and I didn't even have my headphones on! I took them off 30 minutes before and I must have forgot....

I let that all go and started to relax again.

In the middle of all this my mom comes into my room, opening my door and whispering "Shawn Patrick--" [The way all parents say your middle name when you need to do something.] Hearing her voice, i was disappointed because I knew i feel asleep somewhere and "another WILD was placed in the failed bin."
She kept walking around my room, doing various things and telling me I needed to get up. I kept my eyes closed because I was still a bit tired and as soon as she opened my blinds, the shade of my eyes turned a little more red. I kept telling her that I was going to get up soon and that i was still tired from homecoming. I actually started to talk to her at this point.

I was so mad that she wouldn't leave me alone, that I sat up on my bed and then --

Nothing. My room was pitch black. My blinds were still closed. My door was still closed. My mom no where in site. I looked at my alarm: 3:07 AM.

I never fell asleep. I was awake that entire time. I believed with all my being that IT was the next morning yet, it was 45 minutes later.

It was all dream, without being in a dream.

      Really interresting however...

This is more of a Lucid Experience, in which case this Topic belongs in the Lucid Experience board and not here.

Unless you can describe the conditions-circumstances which you know lead to this wakefull half/dream state: In which case this Topic would become helpfull in Attaining Lucidity.

wow, that was very interesting. lol i love how you described how when you mom pulled up the shades and your eyes reacted as if it happened and it turned out to be a hallucination. something similar happened to me as well. i was doing a WILD but the flat screen t.v. on my wall was on and it was on some sit com (there was a laugh track), and it was pretty loud. after a few minutes i just sat up and realized i didn't have a flat screen t.v. on my wall LOL.

How can one work past these Vivid and Heavy Hallucinations into the dream world?
I seem i can never actually step into that sector of my mind. Any suggestions?

well what i usually do is let the hallucinations go their own route, just be aware of them. when you can see a wall for example or a door, try to imagine your hand feeling the texture of the wall/door. after a few seconds of this you can look around or open the door and you should be in a dream. this is of course easier said then done, but i've had success doing this on at least 3 occasions. it doesn't have to be a wall or door of course, once i felt my pet bird (sun conure) and the dream solidified.

Note: this works for me, but may vary on the individual.
