What are those dam dot's ?

You know when you sneeze you see those floating dot's everywhere.But after a couple second's they just vanish.But for me everytime i try to get some sleep they appear after like 10 minute's or so. And they dont move they just fade in and out. I think there very annoying somtime's you feel as if you're looking at the night sky.And the more tired or sleepy you are the worst they get.And i find if you really think hard about somthing the brighter they get. I heard it's the begining of HI's but cant be it too early for that im only be in bed for a 10 minute's when they start. Any one else have this happening to them during the night?And what are those dam dot's

There's some scienctific explanation for it, I just forgot what it was called.

Apparently the cause is still unknown, but there are forums for people that experience them chronically;

I see them randomly sometimes or when I sneeze or when looking at the sky.

Before someone misunderstands, we aren't talking about the typical floaters which are dust within the eyeball.

You might be referring to flashers, which occur when vitrious gel inside your eye clumps up and pulls on part of the retina.

And how exactly does this Topic belong in "Attaining Lucidity"?

I was hoping to enter this board and come across some topics that might help me Attaining Lucidity and instead I am reading about people wondering what those strange dots you see when you're sneezing are. Can you understand my disappointment?

No, flashes look like jagged lightening, and/or central distortion and light, they can be a normal
part of aging, caused by migraines, or if they are accompanied by vision loss or in conjunction with lots of new floaters than like you said, its due to the retina being pulled away.

Donnie, below is a link for a forum like described, the website is a foundation for the blind, but the discussion about the dots are from people with vision, many of them apparently have perfect vision other than the dots.

it may be eye clouds, something that happens on the eyes often.

Seriously, SKA, it's hard to emphasize or take your complaints seriously when you post like this all the time.

This person is asking about something they experience while falling asleep, thinks that it occurs too quickly to be HI, and wants to know what they are experiencing. Sure it's more about attaining sleep and not attaining lucidity, but he's asking if that's really the case, and he's not maliciously going out of his way to ruin your life or anything. Chill out already.

i was just wondering what that was.
some days ago i layed down in the grass looking up in the sky (good times :) )
then when i looked up in the sky i saw those small dots all over and i thought that i must have turned insame, eaten something wrong or that there accutally were small flies in the sky.
Now i know that i'm not insane or food poisoned. :)
