I've had several lucid dreams over the past year or so that I can fully remeber. Umm.. although the extent of the lucidity was limited I am aware fully of reconizing a lucid dream. I remeber usually a dream a night and the only method of induction towards lUcid Dreaming that I find that semi works is that one where you basically try to stay concious as your mind slowly falls asleep. like you in between a dream and being awake. its great when I do it though because i start to see random images and shit and if I keep trying to see them they come together and start a dream in which time i wake up or fall asleep completley. more than half the time though I wake up and can compleltey remeber everything. How could I improve my semi dreaming method? also, I find when i stay up all night, then the next day around dinner time if i lay down and drift asleep i can do it more efficiently

Since it seems apparent that your method works well for you staying Lucid seems to be the problem.
If you wake up from Lucidity because of your excitment level then while in your dream try to conetrat on an individual item in the dream.
Staring at your hands or looking at the ground is what I have read to look at when you begin to loose lucidity. - Somthing solid & stedfast.

i have read that same thing about staring at ur hands. ill try if i can remember. but the lucid dream i had last nite i got too excited and woke up. i am new to it and found this forum like 2/3 days ago.

yeah last night ( after i wrote the post) i had a lucid dream thankfully, i;ve read on how if u make yourslef spin in your dream you can change the surrounding dream, i think it happend but when i did, it was like my brain shut off my lucid part and i just went with the dream, i forgot i was dreaming or something. what happend was i think i was running away from someone through my friends back yard, cept it was a cemetary kinda, and i was in slow motion from everyone else passing me then i just was liek "what the fuck im dreaming!" then i self conciously started spinning and i jumped dreams.

Usually when you spin in a Lucid dream it is associated with " spinning a new dream seen." A technique used to change your dreamscape. Nothing is set in stone, it all depends on what your brain believes.

Spinning yo, I was thinking about the fact that I was sleeping and my mind was awake and I started to fade then I tryed spinning but forgot to think were I wanted to spin to which was bad. Spinning is a good thing though.
