I believe I achieved Hypnogic Imagery? Advice please.

So last night, I was tired, and I always try to enter SP just because I want to, and I layed down, closed my eyes. I was really relaxed.


I focused on the blackness in my eyelids, and It became more like a black screen. It was the first time I experienced this. I saw pictures pop up, and I was like woah! :eek: <---

It was random images really. And I tried to focus more on them, and next thing I know an uncontrollable word came out.

It was kind of like " agh! " and it's like my mind jumped out of it quick and I opened my eyes, and I saw a little black squiggily thing. Best way I can describe it. It was like a small black ball with spikes around it, and then it dissapeared!

Very confusing, because I knew I was awake when I opened my eyes, but what was that little black spike ball??

I believe it's called a hypnagogic hallucination if you opened your eyes and were still seeing things. Someone more knowledgeable can probably answer better though.

Keep it up :) pretty soon you be able to control those image's you see but next time you see those image's.Try thinking of thing's or place's you actually seen or place you know well. See what happen's it's it's just beyond awsome once youre able to control them it feel's like magic. I know I was having a hella good time last night doing that.:D But anyway keep at it youll get better;)And yes sometime you can also see thing when opening youre eye's.I seen a little pink cartoonish pig floating toward's the ceiling one time when i was waking up on morning.:P

LMAO I would love to see a floating pig! So how can I improve on this? Just do the same thing and close my eyes till I see those images? And try to control them?

How can you improve? For me the key is just relaxing and just waiting for that momment where you feel seperated from the outside world.That's when image's start to appear for me.I say just relaxing is the key to seeing HI's but the hard part dont try to force and see them just let them happen as you relax.Do you close you eye's and wait for image's to appear? Well yes but you're seeing with your mind eye not your real eye's you have to forget about your real eye's.And just see in your minds eye's sorta like when you daydream so yeah when you relaxed enough and image's start to appear. Just try daydreaming of things you want to see.And soon enough you will be able to control them and see what you want.LoL im terrible at trying to explain thing's sorry if it make no sense:P

Yes, you make absolutely no sense. haha joking I understood. Ok I will try tongght. I did not try and focus on them, they just came. It was awesome! I think I can get them again.

There are actually two methods, how you can deal with HI. One of the methods is to let the hallucinations be and continue relaxing. Second one is to use them to form a scene. So you just use the memmory impressions which begin to appear to your aid. Yet. The early impressions are too unstable to be used this way, so thats the time, when the first method is applied.

To summarize.
1.Wait for stronger HI.
2.Enter it
