Examples for noobs

It would be nice with a thread where every lucid dreamer could say what techniques they started with - and ended up with/what they now master well. I think this would give great guidance for newbies like. Because there are these handful of guides which tell you how to try in a certain order - but not actually feedback about it. Anyone udnerstand what I'm looking for??
