Phone as an anchor for WILDing!!!!

Yesterday I was talking to my ice ice baby, (her name is iceyss BTW lol)
and uhhh she hung up on me, I couldent remember if she wanted me to call her back or if I was suppose to call her back. So I sat there listing to music, then I started to WILD. I dint really relize it... Until I dreamed that I opened my eyes and picked up the phone, to see that she was still on the line, I immediately tried to wake up so I could still see if she was on the line or not lol....
anything like this happened to anyone?

I think this happend because in the back of my mind, I was confused about who was calling who... and I was waiting for a phone call....
also, that night when I really went to bed, I used vicks vapor rub as an anchor, I could fell and smell it, is this a good anchor? what are anchors used for exatly?
and when I was on the phone the light was on, as the same in my dream

I'm not quite sure if I understand what happened, but I think you're saying that you just got done talking with your girlfriend and you were thinking a lot about it (in particular that there might be another conversation in the near future). I think that's why you ended up with a WILD (which sounds like it was more like an FA that became a WILD but I can't really tell).

Your thoughts regarding the conversation were overpowering the rest of you thoughts, but you fell asleep anyway and since the relating incident was so recent in your mind you realized that it was a dream. I do recall having things like this happen to me in the past. I've also had a DILD (and an FA) since I started recording my dreams that resulted due to my cell phone ringing/vibrating so I know where your coming from.

It might also relate to the "phantom ring" syndrome where people think their cell phone is ringing when it really isn't because they are so focused on thew fact that they might receive a call (I used to get this so bad back when I had a girlfriend).

Exatly! so is there a way to do this all the time? like not have to talk on the phone, and be worried about a conversation in the near future?

I could be possible, but would very hard. I had a similar experience, only involving an alarm clock. It would be very hard to "trick" yourself into worrying about something, such as your phone ringing, without actually having a valid reason. Although you could possibly try to induce the emotion, I couldn't see a superficial one having the same effect as a valid stress.
