I was about to DEILD, but...

Well, last night, I woke up after a dream, and usually, I chicken out when I think about trying to WIlD/DEILD. But, now, I was in a whatever kinda mood, and I figured if I saw any odd hallucinations, I'd hit 'em with a kameh-hameh-ha blast. Well, I (think) I was almost there, when all of a sudden...

MY NOSE STARTED ITCHING!!

I know, from the guides on this site, when trying to WILD/DEILD (which ever one I'm describing...), you're supposed to stay perfectly still, so as to fall asleep/enter SP, w/e. At first, I tried to ignore it, but it got worse. Then I just tried to suck it up and deal with it, but it got worse. Then I was like "Wait! This itch may make a good anchor!" But it got worse, and I eventually had to scratch it:embarrassed:. Well, needless to say, I didn't LD last night...

Well, that wasn't the first time that I was in that situation; the other night, my eye started itching, and I had to scratch it.

So, dear friends, my questions to you are these:
Will moving my arm, if even only to scratch an itch, mess up the entire process? If I'd been laying still for almost 1hr, and very close to SP/WILDing, did I ruin my first potential LD? Do any of you have this problem?

LOL. I tried to WILD this morning and my eye itched.
It was soooooooo itchy. It would itch, then fade, then itch then fade.
I just had to scratch it! I've also had it on my nose, which I find easier to ignore.

However, these "extreme" itches can be fake outs.
As you near SP your body tests you to see if you are awake.
So it makes pretend itches to trick you. If you scratch, they you will go back a step. But from what I've read its not a complete failure. You can get back to where you were in a relatively short time.

Of course, sometimes an itch is just an itch.
But I think you can tell the difference.
The fake itches are far to itchy to be real.
