WBTB - What do you do?
After a slight hiatus I'm back on track to have more LDs. With no college until the new year I'm in the ideal period to try any kind of technique.
I was just wondering what do you guys and gals do during a WBTB? Do you read? Do RCS? Watch TV?
After reading Stephen LaBerges book on Lucid Dreaming and particularly the section on the "critical faculty" I've found that trying to analysis your surroundings and being critical of them helps quite a lot during a WBTB. For instance, when I awake I do a few RCs, go to the bathroom and then try and think about where I just came from and then try to justify why I'm awake without doing an RC. This opens me to to becoming very critical of my own reality. After about 20 minutes of that I simply go back to bed using the MILD technique and hope that my brain is no longer dumbed down and in prime condition to become critical to further my chances of questioning my dreams.
Out of the times I''ve tried it I've had good success. Hopefully tonight will be my night also. :)
What do you guys do during a WBTB?

Usually, I go to the bathroom, get a glass of water, write in my dream journal, do a reality check, and go back to bed.
Ideally, I'd do a reality check, write in my dream journal, go to the bathroom, and get a glass of water. Sometimes I'd visualize as I went back to sleep.
I like your ideas of critical thinking. Very good examples.

How long are you supposed to sleep? I've heard 5.5 hours but after that long I have a hard time falling back asleep.

On average its 4 or 5 hours.
