In trying to WILD the last couple of times, I keep getting a song in my head that only plays a few measures, but the same few measures over and over again! It really keeps me awake, and not in the way you want to be awake! It's very annoying. How have some of you dealt with this, or do you have any suggestions in getting rid of this music?
Oh man i'm sorry, over the past two months i went threw the same thing. The songs that get stuck in my head usually last only 2 weeks. And this last song that got stuck in my head lasted until late last night, i couldn't take it any more. I got really sick and then went to bed. The next morning which was today and all day long i haven't heard one song. There's a syndrome that people have been getting out there called musical ear syndrome. Can you control the music in your head?
Can I control the music in my head....well, yes and no. Yes, I can start thinking of another song to 'counter' the repetitive song, but it isn't long before th repetitive song comes back. The the song that gets stuck in my head plays over and over starting at the same point every time. I don't seem to have any control over that. Even if I try to 'advance' the song, it will very soon go back to where it has been repeating. And it's always in the forefront of my mind, thus keeping me awake.

Why not keep it? Breathing is a mantra, counting is a mantra, music can be a mantra, too. Only instead of the normal lyrics, sing it as "I will do a reality check" or something to that effect.

But really, if it keeps your awareness, then use it to your advantage! I told this to the person who was annoyed by ticking clocks (really, it makes a great steady beat!). If you don't let it bug you, you'll get over it soon.
