Tips for stabilizing LD
Hey. I've had my 10th LD this night, after using the WBTB technique. I do not remember what I was dreaming before, but suddenly I realized I'm dreaming, and tryed using the spin technique. I felt my body in the bad, and I also was sleep paralized, but I could still see myself spining in the Dream. It failed, but I still had some control left, so I tryed spining again, and also grab some objects within the dream... I touched something, but still, it failed again. I opened my eyes, didn't realize its a fall awakening, and tryed spining once more. Oddly I did spin, but of course it failed and I lost lucidity into the false awakening.
Is there any tips on how to stabilize the dream once I realize I'm dreaming? This is my 10th LD so far, I'm pretty happy with the frequency I'm having them (only started two months ago) but so far In even one of them I didn't really had a chance to do something. Btw, I found out that learning from my mistakes (reminding my self to use spin technique over and over after the 9th LD) helps a lot to avoid them in the next time. Can anyone point out at something I've done wrong?
Thanks :)

There's plenty of ways to stabilize a dream, how well they work depends on you. A couple are:
- Spinning, like you tried.
- Looking at your hands, usually trying to make out specific details (eg, fingerprints), or rubbing them together.
- Putting your tongue to the roof of your mouth.
- Trying to "feel" the ground under your feet. I read about this a long time ago in a research paper, I don't remember the technique precisely.

Sure there is, there's a whole tutorial written on dream stabilization.
Were you actually spinning in your bed? I hope I'm misreading...

Well, now I know I wasn't really in my bad, since I was in the false bad of the false awakening. I could feel my body in bed, but I spinned in the dream of the dream... Its complicated, I wasn't lucid and rationally thinking enough to realize it makes no sense to spin in bad, (plus there was daylight and tiny spitfires flying all over my room, which is how the next dream begun..)

nothing beats a vocal confirmation like "clarity!"
but really, as long as you do something to focus on your 5 physical senses (the suggestions in wildman's response) you should be good.
