How Can One WILD!
My head is about to explode. I have tried WILDing for so long! Damn! But no real success has happened. Here is what usually happens....
I set my alarm clock to wake me up after 4-5.5 hours. I wake up (if I do). Then I stay up for some time. After that I go back to bed/to my lobby. I lay down. Then I use the pain anchor, breathing anchor, no anchor, body sense, consentration or whatever. Then I either fall asleep in 5mins (I think) or I lay there for a looong time, and because of that damn long time I usually give up. Sometimes I try to relax, but yea... No luck.
Now please, tell me, how can I WILD? I´ll reward all helpers somehow. And please, no links to WILD guides.

You may try several things:
•Set your alarm clock to a different time. Everyones sleepcycle is different and you maybe have to find your time to wake up. For me wilding works the best in the late mornin, like sleeping from midnight to 8:00/9:00 am.
•Wake up naturally after your REM cycle. This can be archived by drinking a lot before bed, your body may wake you up after your REM so you can go to the toilet. Does not work for everybody.
•Don't stand up. This is what workes the best for me. When i stand up, i can hardly get back to dreams again, i'm too awake and have difficulties to find that WILD state before falling to sleep.
At the end, here is how I do. I wild only at the weekend, as I need all sleep i can get during the week. I go to bed around midnight, and most of the time wake up at 7/8/9. I stay in bed, drink something, lay on my back in a relaxing position and close my eyes again. Most of the time I'm still tired, I do not count or put my fingers anywhere, I just relax and try to feel myself in a dream. Today morning I got it after about 2/3 minutes.
hope I could help

1. yeah evbdy has different REM cycles but they are not fixed. I measured mine and evr time they were completely different. Therefore you can keep the same time and one night get it precisely. Trying different times would not hurt either. 4-5h after sounds reasonable.
2. I agree with Thorim - try to not stand up or shorten the time significantly. It may result with lack control and focus but will be much easier to sink into LD
3. I bet you lay on back. Try different position - on side, stomack or something between. Same difference as above.
4. My impression is that you are not really sure which technique works for you. Generally I would stick to certain one or a sequnce of. But you still need to work it out - which one. Shortly I would reccomend :
-clear your thoughts
-relax your whole body with breathing. With each breath you get more and more drowsy. Try to imitate a "sleeper's" heavy breath. Sort of pretending that you are already sleeping.
-don't move. If you feel like changing position your mind tries to check if you are still awake. You have to cheat it;)
-if have some body jerks - you are on the right way. Just wait...
-see some patterns, hear some whispers - you are getting closer
-later scenario may vary............
5. Whatever people say - if problems persist try some supplements to see how going though the threshold actually see. I had similar problem as yours and after some succesful WILDs with Galantamine + Choline (see my thread) I got the confidence that I can do it and it is really possible. This really helps and I am not addicted to them.

No worries. I wasted years for I didn't take different approach.
