Of course you can. :)
There's art of inmanyall of my dreams, and the more lucid you become, the further you can appreciate the beauty of the mind.
Becoming lucid, you stop blindly accepting things, and actually get to see them for what they are.
ohhh don't even get me started on art and dreams :bang: you don't know how frustrating it is to work on a single crappy painting for months
then in one single dream, you just happen to fly into an art gallery, and there along the walls are the most gorgeous paintings ever conceivable, the likes of which I have never seen before
then you wake up, and you're like....WHAT? how is it that my subconscious mind can create a gazillion paintings in an instant, better than anything that I can do in months?
it makes no sense...NO SENSE
Absolutely, it's even something LaBerge tends to mention a bit, walking into a dream gallery to get inspiration for artwork :D
you can also LEARN stuff from dreams. i know my friend's friend that had a lucid dream and whilst he was dreaming, he learned how to breakdance. when he woke up, he went the living room, and started breakdancing! dreams are very mysterious and work like nothing in this world, only out of this world.
Yes you can unleash all sorts of creativity.
Once I walked into a dream of a classroom with a Maths professor.
There was a massive equation on the board and I had no idea how to answer it.
He asked me what the answer was.
I looked at the massive equation and I said, sorry I have no idea.
He then proceeded to write on the board, "Is the the answer the sum".
I still said I don't know, I am sorry and felt all embarassed.
He then wrote "Is the answer the base" next to it.
I again said "I dont know the answer".
He then said "But the answer is on the board".
I said "I am sure it is, but I don't know it."
He then circled the following of what he had written.
"Is the answer (the sum. Is the answer) the base."
He then said "See the answer was on the board".
I woke up mind blown as I had given myself a cryptic answer like that.
It had nothing to do with the equation.
Freaky huh.
Well, yeah, but even if you take the credit, you can't show it to anyone...
This is one of the reasons I am learning 3D modeling. I want to be able to show people what is in my head, but I have no natural talent for it, so I approach it from a very "left-brained" angle.
Dunno if I will ever be able to utilize my dreams for art, though; right now I am having trouble being motivated enough to write them down.
I have had several intersting ideas from stories come from my dreams, but generally just from the storyline.
