Do daydreams lead to Lucid dreams?

It's been awhile since my last LD ( i think that was like in... November/December but i haven't tried to much so i guess thats why) and i noticed yesterday that i was lying down trying to sleep. and then my mind wandered and some how i was seeing with my eyes a road with snow on it and the sun was shining i could actually feel the sun. Then i was thinking about what if the road was to change to this , and it did ( of course i didn't even know what i was doing) then i realized " Hey What am i doing? Wasn't i just lying down on my bed" and then *poof* it was gone.

It's like if i day dream or something and then realize that im daydreaming i automatically stop. This has happened to me a couple of times before. I also can't force my self to day dream it just happens.

I try to lie down and attempt to WILD but it only works if i keep my awareness 100% Or it will go.

It's sort of hard to explain but maybe someone here knows what i'm talking about.

Some people say its possible, and I think it might be. But it would be much more difficult. If you mean more of with an Afternoon nap, like say your laying there, and start to try to WILD, there are many people who can WILD during an afternoon nap if their surroundings are quiet and they can sufficiently relax.

I think the main problem with doing it though, is maintaining the vividness of it. If you try to WILD during the afternoon, and your mostly rested, then you might not have as deep of a state of relaxation. You might more just go through the experience of visualizing yourself elsewhere, in a way thats similar to a Lucid Dream, but different in the sense that your experiences might seem more dulled compared to if you do one during the night after you wake up.

I tried it before aka dream chaining. It takes skill to control the dream forming which I do not have....:P. But it's an effective way to control the dream theme but lucidity may not be guranteed.

i am not very good with lucid dreaming sadly -_- but heres something strange for me. i have a night job so i can sleep al lday. i got bed at about 3-5 in the morning, and when i wake up during the day i jsut keep going back to sleep, but, a strange for me is, while i lay there after waking and im trying to go back to sleep, i will let my mind wander and daydream, then once i realize im daydreaming i like... physically "step into" the day dream, then im in a dream and lucid. i've only been able to do this like twice, but i'v eonly had about 5 LD's, so its somethign im looking into.

It's stage 1 into stage 2 sleep and since you already slept enough 5 or 6 hours it's easy to go from those stages to REM if you anchor your conciousness enough. It's DEILD what you experience.

I was wondering about this... I can daydream on command (and also a lot when I don't want to), like I can actually make myself "see" things happening, while at the same time not crashing into poles. I've tried using daydreaming with WILD, but so far it hasn't worked. Usually my daydreams just mesh into an actual dream and I don't notice the transition. I've thought about maybe RCing inside daydreams, but whenever I try I always snap out of it.

This has actually happened to me a couple of times too. I posted a topic on this a while ago, but not many people replied.

Usually when it happens is when I'm waking up and trying to go back to sleep. This is usually the times where I get most lucid dreams too though.

When ever i wake up in the middle of the night, and lay back down, or early in the morning if i havent slept all night.

If i lay down images such as day dreams, start appearing randomly the more i relax.

If i relax enough, i can move into these images with my dream body and turn them into lucid dreams.

These same images which appear at these times, are very very similar to a Day Dream, sept im not controlling it.
