How close was I!?

Last night i was laying in bed with the intention to achieve SP, which i did for like the first time! XD I felt a strange tingly wave come over my body and then it was as if i was floating or being compressed into a ball. I began to see HI but then it became a little difficult to keep my eyes shut, they wanted to flutter open. At one point this light blue light came across my vision and covered it entirely and that was all i saw. Then i felt this urge to swallow and it went away =( how close was i to a dream?

something simular to me last night ^^
you should have just done nothing,like swallowing,your body has a reflex to swallow on its own,or else you would drown in your sleep :|
the same goes for breathing,thats usually the way the body tries to trick you in to reveling your self,u think u messed up your breathing and you "jump" to try to continue it,just let it slide,if u get passed a few of this tricks SP comes along and if u get passed that the same way your in a dream,its as simple and yet as complicated as that ^^ took me some time to figure that out,now the trick is not to act or think intensivly about anything let you toughs slide by and don't act on any impulse and try not to forget what you doing and fall asleep

Alright thanks alot =) it did get to one point where my thoughts started going uncontrollablly. While i still knew i was awake, my thoughts just started going off on random things and i like couldn't control it. So i just let myself swallow is what your saying? cause when i did, the HI tended to tone down a bit and i lost the blue light. So i thought i lost it all, but thats normal and i should just let it take its path?

no,don't swallow!you don't do anything!anything or you will break the proces,and ur body will now ur awake,when its neccecery to swallow your body will do that alone,u don't move ur mouth at all,don't do anything just let ur toughts fly by and try to stay on track,but don't force toughs,i mean don't start long conversations with ur self,and when u feel the strongest erdge to move or scartche,when u feel u can't possibly do it SP tends to come ^^
ask if u didn't understand what i said or whatever u want ^^

How will i know if my body swallows by itself lol? And ya those urges are such a pain, i wanna strech or itch so bad, but im good at ignoring them. Does the HI kick in after SP or before? And when i see them is it best to just look past them and not focus too much? And one last question lol sorry =\ i just wanna get this, but how do i enter a dream from the HI? How will i know when

dude,no need to apolodgise!ask awayz!how will you know?well 1st of all you will feel your mouth swallowing,its alittle different coz it swallows in a little differently,but nvm,and u won't have salive in ur mouth,btw have u ever watched anybody sleep when they swallow something and don't wake up etc?
thats a reflex,otherwise u would have died 10000000 times lol :D
Just ignore them,don't focuse on em at all if posible,evin if the body tricks you to control ur breathing again don't!it will pick it self up,u just think something is wrong(unless something flies in to ur mouth and ur chocking etc :P )its usuali for most ppl like this,they get thestrongest urdge to turn or scratch or whatever,but at the second when they can't hold on it stops and weeeeeeeeeeeeee SP time,well i mastered the pre SP part i think ^^
after SP(when i get in to sp i usualy see some bright flashes etc)try doing the same thing or visualiseing ur in some field or something,there is a great tutorial on that subject in this sub forum go see it ^^

Well i just now tried the reverse blinking technique to induce SP if youve heard of it. I did what you said and let the swallowing take its own course and then i felt that wave again, i tried to reax and just let my thoughts go and not thnk too much. It was kinda hard. I was doing really good. Then my phone went off and i opened my eyes. I tried to reach for my phone but everything was numb and sluggish and like i couldnt move at first. it took a second try. Was that SP?

Yes it was. Congratulations!

What position do you lay in when achieving SP? I only achieve it when I lay face down and only the mornings when I wake up. I feel as if I'm being sucked into the mattress slightly. Every time I try to move a limb I get pulled downward, and when I stop trying, it's like I float back to the surface of the bed. It's a cool feeling really. Too bad it made me late for something (I was stuck in it for twenty minutes!)

Oh cool XD thanks, i can now get to the state where i enter SP somewhat easily. I just lay on my back and use the reverse blinking method to enter SP in no more than ten minutes! It works great, the only problem I have is i dont see much HI, will it develope or just not come at all? Maybe i just have to achieve a deeper level of sleep?

I don't see any HI when in awake sleep paralysis.

I only have HI in the form of very loud noises and very limited visual when I encounter paralysis during a dream.

Can you describe or link me to this reverse blink method? I've never heard of it before.

For you, I can't really say. My best bet would be that it is random for every person, but it seems that most DV members agree that usually you will see HI. Personally, I've been in SP about a dozen times, and I've never seen any HI.

I have trouble entering SP, I keep getting too exited
so now i try not to focus on SP but more the WILD part.

also, you were closer than I've ever gotten ;D

listen,this morning i was practicing wilding(coz i knew i couldn't do it,read on and you'll know why :D ) ,but the interesting part was that i was coughing like crazy,ok so i started and wanted to see if i can let coughting go on its own without me doing anything(witch i know it could coz when ur sick ppl tell you that u coughed all night long etc)so ok i start and try to keep as less alert but still there aspossible,then i start to get the feeling i need to cough,but i ignore it,my body swallows,then its getting harder and harder to ignore the cough,and eventualy i cough(my body coughs)and i start to breath with my mouth open(it didn't effect my wild state at all)and i cough some more,and my mouth little by little starts to close my mouth,then i feel im drulling on my pillow xD so i stop

here is a tip for ppl,when ur trying to wild you will usually flinch or something and you would ask yourself,did i move?,coz u know u did,but u didn't tell urself to do it,i felt that way all the way trough till the moment i actualy moved when i started to drull,what i want to say is if u think u moved when u are wilding,u probably didn't coz u would know if u did 100% ;)

and ppl usually fail at wild coz they try really dumb methods,it took me tenths of tries to get here...freaking counting made me awake for hours... xD

The topic is called Inducing Trance to Wild i believe its a little below my post. Its basically laying in bed completely relaxed and opening your eyes every 5 second just long enough to focus on something like the ceiling for example, and you repeat that over and over and it makes you tired extremely fast and i've achieved SP much faster with that method.

And thanks for all the tips guys, ill be sure to let you know my progress. Last night i was going to try and fill you in today but i fell asleep ahaha.
