Whats the best LD method you use?

I've been going around looking at everything and i just wanted to see what everyone else was most successful with. So what technique do you find the best to have a LD with, DILD, WILD, MILD, FILD, VILD, WBTB(combining it with a technique) or DIELD? :banana:

The "best method" will vary from person to person so the most popular one in this thread may still not work for you, but personally my best method is a WBTB-MILD

I know lol, i just wanted to see what everyone else was using. I was looking in hope to find one technique that a ton of people use so i could try it. I was just curious

I am also interested in the response to the OP's question. From what I've seen around the forums, it seems WILDs are the most popular ones :P

Of course, it has to be DILD, WILD and DEILD just don't have enough quality or lenght, and I'm more customed to DILD anyway <.<

Thanks, correct me if I'm wrong, but, WILDs have to do with counting followed by a statement everytime eventually entering SP and then visualizing to get into an LD while DILDs are more about relaxing before bed and then using autosuggestion such as "I am going to remember to recognize that I am dreaming". Is the above correct or did I miss something in either technique? DEILD is more about chaining and getting an LD AFTER waking up from a dream and then returning to that dream by lying still and allowing SP to take place :)

Lol im not good at DILD, i have a few dream signs but i can never seem to pick them out =\ WILD and DEILD are fun to experience the transition from the waking world to the dreaming world :D

Well, WILD doesn't use statements and DILD doesn't use autosuggestion (tough you can use it if you want to), just RC to become lucid while dreaming. I think MILD is the one which uses utosuggestion. Other than that, it was right.

WILD does not necessarily have to do counting and statements or even lying perfectly still. WILD happened for me pretty easily (had my first one the morning after I had read the tutorial on it) It is simply when you are AWARE that you are falling asleep and aware that a dream is begining. Other than that it can happen in many different forms. Some people HAVE to count or stay still, while others get them naturally (like me once I knew what it was) and some may get them accidently like if you awake in SP (which can also be a natural occurance)

I think DILD is probably the most common since everyone probably has thier first Lucid Dream through DILD i.e. being in a non lucid dream then realizing your in a dream and becoming lucid.

WILD. I dont know, its just easy for me.

Well, i got my first (and so far only) Lucid Dream from using the CILD Technique. You simply eat alot of chocolate and go to sleep thinking about LDing. Strange? Yes, but it helped me!

Chewnie, I'd say that the easiest is DILD, but that's just my opinion. I would try all of them though and then see what's easiest for you. I myself have a pretty good success rate with DILDs, but I try other techniques just for fun. I think it's good to have a mastery of a few different techniques so that you can use them in different situations depending how tired you are, how fast you want to go to sleep, how long you're going to sleep, etc.

But again, if you're still struggling just to have LDs, then I would suggest trying the DILD technique untill you're getting them at least 4-5 times a week. Then I would venture out and try other techniques, it's fun!

I've kind of given up on DILD for the moment..rc's are becoming too much of a chore for me, and I'm completely oblivious to what should obviously make me lucid(It's frustrating <.<)

I've gotten kind of good at WILD's recently, and it's my favorite, because if you do it right you're immediately in an ld.

Ya lol i've been trying to focus on DILD's for the moment. I was okay with WILD's but i wanted to work on my DILD's for the time being until i can get good with them. Then revert back to WILD. I also want to try MILD

I agree. WILD comes naturally and easy for me, however it is seldom when it happens and not consistant. I do have wonderful dreams everynight and I remember them but they are non lucid! Have to work on DILD!

For me, DEILD is almost perfect, because If I want, I can wake up naturally on the night...and if I want...I can stay very still(well, sometimes I move)
I never achieved a perfect WILD.....but I like trying....
DILD maybe is too good...I did ever have a DILD....well..My last lucid was DILD/WILD....
