It seems that at 5:50 AM everyday without fail I wake up is it possible that this is the end of my REM cycle? If so i could use an external mobile to vibrate and warn me i'm dreaming, would this work? Thank you for any replies

I forgot to include that if i set the mobile to go off at about 5:20 could it trigger a lucid dream
hmm at what time do you go to sleep?
Setting a vibrator to vibrate a bit might help you induce a LD but set it about 1/2 - 1 hour before you wake up because you dont want to wake up from a LD in only 10 mins
Well i go to bed at 10 and go to sleep at around 11, why is that important?
Be cautious about using outside stimulus. If you were in REM, then the vibrations would probably just be interpreted by the dream as something like an earthquake. (or any range of less disastrous vibrations ;P)
You would need to be able to recognize the vibration as a sign you were asleep. I recommend , if you want to try this, setting you phone alarm to go off multiple times in a day and doing an RC every time.

The biggest problem with this is the same problem with the Nova Dreamer. You aren't guaranteed an immediate lucid, as Arby pointed out. You still have to train yourself to reality check or to work on your memory to the point where you will be able to become lucid. Most likely it won't just happen, you will still have to put in effort.
Something I thought I should mention: If you reliably REM right before 5:30, though... there is so much power that you can harness with that. Something like waking up right before then and doing a DEILD would likely be very potent.
Don't limit your thoughts to just DILD techs =D
