Sleep Paralysis
Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum but not new to Lucid dreaming.
I've had one or two lucid dreams before (realising I'm dreaming) but waking up almost instantly. :embarrassed:
I started sleep paralysis these past few days and I was amazed when I started feeling my hands going numb. Now, this might seem like a stupid question to some but if you open your eyes during sleep paralysis does it stop working? Also, does it stop if I swallow? and once my entire body is numb how do I switch to dreaming without just falling asleep? and how do I know when REM is occuring?

hey costello. Opening your real eyes and not your dream eyes will stop sleep paralysis. Swallowing is ok as far as I know. If you wait it out during sleep paralysis you go into a dream. Random things will eventually appear and form a dream.

Thanks for the quick reply, because I tried it with my eyes open and my body did start going to sleep but it was very slow and very faint but I was just curious

sleep paralysis last less than a minute dependsof you if you want to go on or wake

Well, I got a question now. Just 20 minutes ago I went into sleep paralysis. I somehow opened my eyes and everything seemed blurry. My body was numb still everything was numb even my eyes. I tried making things like trying, a head will fall on me right now. It didnt work. Then my eyes suddenly shut and i woke up. And i could have swore i was dreaming nothing else. Before that I saw little green fields in my head/eyes. I tried to make them clearer by saying oh hey look theres some g rass, theres some concrete. But they just stopped dead in their tracks and i had to wait another minute for another visual thing to appear. They all seem really dim. I can barely make out the picture.
