When ever I'm in a dream and I end up in the water, I'm fighting my way up to the surface for air, as I run out of it, I take a small inhale, it works, I take another... wait a minute... I can't breathe under water! That means I'm dreaming

When ever I'm in a dream and I end up in the water, I'm fighting my way up to the surface for air, as I run out of it, I take a small inhale, it works, I take another... wait a minute... I can't breathe under water! That means I'm dreaming
How often do you end up in water though...o.o
Actually a few times a month, twice last week.
ya know i wast hinking of a tenique and trying to build it up and it would be that you think about water all day and just fill your head with thoughts of water, then you will most likely have a dream about/in water. simply breathe in and you immediatly become lucid.
its very trippy to breathe underwater
You could consider water as a dreamsing...
That's awesome, wish that could happen to myself. I'm always oblivious that i'm dreaming when certain things happen so i probably would not even consider it as impossible.
yeah there's a real drawback to this technique. One day you might actually be drowning or something and think "oh I'm just dreaming" cause dreams can be very real. I used to RC by jumping out of my window, but after an incredibly vivid FA I realized I'd rather do something else like attempt to float beforehand.
I've experinced the same thing once since beginning my quest for lucidity.
When I was a young child however I would experience this very frequently. these were often some of the most vivid dreams I would have and I would be completly fascinated with my new found ability to breath underwater before realizing I was dreaming. I would always wake up disappointed that I couldn't actually breath under water.
