I thought we might as well have a collective thread on the best tips when WILDing. Try not to post the same thing twice, unless you are adding some info to the point. If you wish to contradict a point already mentioned, back up your opinion. Lets go!
And yes, I am back.
It sounds cliche but go with the flow - don't try to fight SP or "change" your HH if you get any, just go with it and stay calm until it forms into a dream scene.
Keep focus, but don't focus TOO much.
Remember none of the things you see/hear/feel can hurt you.
Any tips for a person that has a really hard time staying focused and not wandering off in thought? AKA me?
After failing a WILD, ALWAYS do reality check. You may have not failed at all, but entered the dream without your noticing.
Attempt to WILD after a WBTB. Your body is more relaxed and SP will come faster (there are other WILD methods which don't need SP, though.)
Don't be hungry, thirsty or anything like that. It might distract you.
Don't be too sleepy. You might fall asleep.
Don't be too awake. You might not fall asleep at all.
I've always wandered... How do you fail a WILD? Is that when you've been lieing there so long you just go "forget it" and try to go to sleep the old fashioned way? Or is it something else?Quote:

Oh, yeah. I confused WILD with SP. In SP, your mind is awake and your body asleep, but you're right about WILD.Quote:
