Many attempts, No Results!

Okay so I have tried...

Going to Sleep Paralysis immediatly after going to bed... I.E. at ~2200
Going to SP from a WBTB, at 0515.
Many recall techniques, such as the hand on nose, finger through palm, and finger counting.
Assessing reality... Do I remember How I got here? Does what I'm doing/where i am make sense?
In all cases, not a single LD.

When I reach SP... I remember my steps, keep concious and focused.
SP -> Attention Switching -> LD?

Problem is. I can't change attention easily. I am too aware of reality... or something. I focus on the secondary senses (i.e. imagination of the senses) to become inwardly focused, but I can still hear the outside world easily... Am I doing it wrong? Am I supposed to hear the outside world? Or should I immerse myself somehow in a scenery I create. This is hard, because I can't keep concious level brain activity while transitioning to sleep! IE: I find it extremmely hard to generate a scenery and then immerse in it while trying to remember that I am to do a RC and LD. :eek:

What am I doing wrong?

Some Specs/Stats for you.

Dream Recall:

Sight: very good, detailed.
Sound: almost never.
Touch: average, depends mostly if I check for feeling.
Taste: Never.
Smell: Never.

Sleep Paralysis:

Pain: Occasional.
Intensity: ~Small.
Numbing: average.
Paralysis: almost none, not noticiable.
Salivation: massive once mouth reaches SP.
Waves: Sometimes.

Hypnogogic Halucinations:

Sight: Fairly vivid once becoming inward focused.
Sound: Rare, but I have heard some noises in the past.
Touch: Poor, but noticable.
Taste: Never.
Smell: Never.
Memory: Short Term memory (faces of people i hardly see) is indistinguishable.
Long Term Memory is average.
Content: Usually complete sceneries, lighting is very good and detailed... much like real life.

DreamSigns:
Cadets

Normal Sleep Time: 2300-0715 (roughly 8 hours)

Well, these aren't really recall techniques for starters. They're reality checks, which you use to test if you are awake or not.

As for your WILDing problem, attempting it from a WBTB is much more likely to give you results. Make sure you're not TOO awake, but not too sleepy either. If the outside noises disturb you, I would suggest wearing earplugs or something of that nature. Visualizing dream scenes could help with actually entering the dream, though there are other techniques such as counting down from a hundred and focusing on your breathing.

Stressing out over it can hinder your progress, though. WILDing is a very difficult technique for many, and you shouldn't get too anxious if it doesn't work at first. It took me close to a year to have my first WILD, if I remember correctly. Just keep trying; Practice makes perfect!

Okay so Here are some of my ideas:

Reality Checks (RC):
I've done enough of these... But one problem is that I am proving myself IN REALITY, not in a dream, if it makes sense. The aim is that for every RC, I am to imagine that I am dreaming and become lucid. If i were to use my current method in dream, That would probably lead to me waking before i remember to stabilize, and probably not do an RC at all.

RC's on Repetitive Events!
Okay so today I have bit my lower lip SEVEN times. It hurt. After the third time, I was like "Hey this keeps happening... Every time this happens, I am to do an RC."

WBTB:
I had my alarm set for 0515, going to bed at 2200. I am changing this to 0300, to see if it helps. My REM cycles, I've noticed (because After i wake from the alarm, I remember the dreams) Are earlier then 0515. So 0300 should help.
