How I Got Lucid Dreaming Stuck on My Mind!

Everyone one of us can say we've got songs in our heads. Right now, just think of a song you were whistling or just stuck in your head in the last few days. You may have heard the song on the radio a week ago or heard the song years ago.

I am a songwriter and thought, what the hell, I'll write a song to get it stuck in my head. And it worked. As the day went by certain parts of the song would start playing in my head and before I could get even the slightest irritation...I realized what was playing in my head "I am awake..." "I am dreaming..." and more key phrases that are conducive to lucid dreaming. Excellent!

So I never get DILDs as most of my lucids are WILDs in the mornings. I decided to play the song before I go to bed (to keep it fresh) and before I go back to bed just before my attempt.

And this morning...Success! Now the song is just on paper right now but I'm going to record it today and try to get it up on the board for anyone who wants to listen to it. You gotta listen to it at least a couple of times before you can sing along with the verse. Once you start singing along, that's where your mind starts taking over. You'll have an auto-mantra buzzing in your skull as you try to get to sleep!

So stay tuned...I'm gonna do my best to get this thing up as soon as possible.

GREAT idea! I, too, am a songwriter, and am also always singing a song in my head - just as often in dreams as in waking life. I'm ashamed that I never thought of your idea.. :lol: Writing songs for a particular purpose is something I've done in the past - most recently I came up with a song to ground and motivate me when I need to practice tai chi and don't feel like getting started.

If you do end up laying it down, I'd definitely like to hear your dream song. Might even start working on my own :)
