Reality Check i figured out last night...

Really it has been a long time since I have been on this site, and a long time since I have been big on LDing, but I still get there sometimes from my constant sleep Paralysis.....

I had a dream last night that makes me hang my head in shame from all the signs that it was a dream, I never once asked myself if it was a dream.... I was in school again and someone asked for me to give them money as I was buying something, and I had just gotten a pocket full of change.

I counted out the quarters for a dollar, then transferred it over to the other hand and went to hand it to them and noticed that the amount of change was different, some were now even gold medals. I must have done this about 15 times, actually getting frustrated in my dream! I'm going to try this as a reality check to see if it will work, like pulling out the change in my pocket, closing my hand, and opening it again.

Just a thought if anyone else wants to try it, I figured I'd let the olde community know about this.... in case anyone thinks it can help them... who knows I have been gone so long theres probable a list of a 1000 reality checks you can do...

It was really sad in the dream too I wrote something down and from thought to paper it was different, I kept getting more and more frustrated trying to write a simple sentence... and not once did I figure out I was dreaming... I just thought I had gone retarded....

Well that is a good personal RC but i think we would have to have dreams of something in our hands in most dreams for this to work as opposed to using our hands/nose/fingers whatever else is all what we already have and not relying on props or whatever you wanna call it.

This could be very good if other types of RCs are not appropriate for the context, maybe just grab some fruit or sticks etc. and transfer them back and forth in your hands.

Hmm.. I worry that if I go off to look for something to pick up during my dream then I'll get distracted and forget my purpose. It's not a bad idea but I think I'll stick to testing if the numbers on my watch change coz it's always on my wrist (if it's not I know I'm dreaming).

Sounds like a fun activity though. I might make it a lucid goal :)
