Good Method
i have had quite a few LD's after sleeping for 7 or so hours then waking up for like 5 minutes and going back to sleep
in fact i had my first ld since starting back with practicing for lucid dreaming
time may very (i like to get alot of sleep 10=12 hours on weekends) so set your alarm for a few hours shorter than you normally like then wake up to turn it off and do something for a few minutes and go back to sleep

This is a technique called WBTB, that's been brought up on the board a few times. It's very effective, isn't it? :D It's pretty much the only way I get an LD. There's a few threads about it, just search for WBTB (Wake Back To Bed). There's also a tutorial on it in the tutorials section.

I'd have to say that's the method that seems to work the best for me, also.
