Alright. I was gonna start RCing again, and the problem was, I didn't always remember to. So now, what are some ways that I can remember to RC?
RC like, literally ever 2 mins or so for the best results. If you do it that often, then you will grow used to it very fast. The more the better.
It's ok to start off with a little reminder to RC, like a digital watch that beeps every hour or so, but IMO, reality checking doesn't become effective until you can frequently remember to do it on your own.
I answered your question.
The more you do it like that, the more you wont have to remember and the more you will do it without thinking about it.
You want to remember to RC, well if you do it every 2 minutes then you will get so used to it that you will RC.
But if you want a different answer, you could always make the RC watch like some guy had on here. Or make a virus on your computer that makes a pop up come up everytime you click something telling you to RC. Its up to you really, be creative.
C911 is correct. The more you do it, the faster it will stick in your head, so when you do remember to do it, just do plenty of them in a span of 30mins or so. Some reminders to RC, maybe everytime you heard the word dream or see it.
How do I make a virus to tell me to do so?
Its not called a virus, it doesn't infect your comp without your permission or knowledge. I have come across a few reality check programs that pop up asking you to do a Reality check. Maybe do a RC everytime you enter a new room, it has been talked about before a bit and people get good results.
When i bike to school I try to remember every time I see a traficlight I do a rc (clock rc) and when i start and end a lesson i do a rc =) With just the traficlights it's 14 rc's and with lessons it goes over 20
Probably a quick way would be to write a huge RC on the back on your hand, whenever you see that during the day you'll RC. After awhile of seeing it, you're start doing RC's by noticing other things without looking at the RC on your hand.
But reminders all around the house, bedroom are a good start to remembering to RC. Good luck!

The best way is to choose a few good dreamsigns. Symbols you frequently see in your dreams. Be it people, situations, objects,...
It can also be just things from waking life that you chose. For example doors, hands, ...
So every time you enter a doorway or see a door, you'll do a RC.
Good luck!
I actually want to make the same tattoo that Johnny Depp has: http://images2.fanpop.com/images/pho...9-1054-816.jpg
Why?
1- It's a RC reminder and since it's always gonna be a 3, I won't have to check back to see if it's changed, just check once (twice) and if it's not a three then.. !!! :D
2- I love Johnny Depp
3- I love movies of Johnny Depp, I love movies period
4- It reminds me of his interview Inside the Actor's studio where he talked about living life, so it will be my personal Carpe Diem
5- It looks cool... and I want to try 'everything' in life at least once so...
I think that you should RC every time something, something seems off, or odd.
Sudden change in lighting. RC!
Can't find an object that you placed somewhere recently. RC!
Brainfart. RC!
etc.
I will write you one!
It will also track all of your passwords and everything else you type. I hope you don't mind that feature too much, though. >.>
In all seriousness, I hear a digital watch does wonders. I never RC while awake, though (yet). So take my advice with a grain of salt.
PeaceL, a brainfart is where you know something, but just when you need it, you forget. Also, it can be where you just blank out on a certain subject.
Hmm... I have one that me and my friend made up a few days ago. It is actually just a theory yet, but i think it has great potential. Its seperated into two parts.
The first part is that everytime you walks throught a door/archway(I think that is what it is called), you do a RC. After a while, it'll probably stick to the back of your head like a skull-fracture, and you will probably get lucid MUCH more often if it goes like planned.
The other part, is that about 7 times aday, my friend comes up to me and says: Reality check(And i on him, ofcourse). And when he says so, i reality check. If it works, my friend will appear in my dream and say "reality check". And then its up to me to figure out if its a dream or not.
Hope this helps you. And that it works atall:oops:
Sorry if its a bit messy.

Write an A on your hand. Every time you see the A do a Reality Check. Simple as that. Now do an RC NOW!.
its really just become a habit for me and i do it at various times throughout the day
I got to the stage where I would RC every time I used a door or stairs. I've got out of the habit and I'm trying to make it a habit again. This is a lot harder now because I'm a lot busier than I was a few months ago when I could devote so much attention to LDing! So to speed up the process I'm using the following reminders to fast-track my way back to regular RCs:
-Mobile phone alarm goes off four times a day.
-(At work) Put a small stone in my shoe that doesn't bother me when I'm sitting, but when I get up from my desk I'm reminded.
-Tying my shoelaces when I take off my shoes so that I'm reminded when I need to put shoes on.
-Put an object at the top of the stairs that I carry downstairs (and RC while I'm doing so) and then leaving it on the bottom step for a reminder when I go up.
