So in this I will tell you guys how I mix the VILD and the WILD techniques up a little bit. It makes it way easier for me to get lucid.
First, I would like to thank arby for his great tutorial on the VILD technique:
http://dreamviews.com/community/showthread.php?t=40861
arby shows you how to get into a dreamlike state in which it feels like a intense day dream that slowly gets pulled into a OBE and then a dream world.
This is how I get lucid once I reached the state in which I feel like I am in a OBE once I use VILD
The VILD gives me a out of body experience that makes me go into a intense day dream state, only problem is it get's me feeling very exhausted with my thought process. Or my thought process is wild and not making me sleepy enough to turn off into sleep.
So something cool you could do if that happens to you is when you feel out of body (sleep paralysis) you can imagine your room and walk around exploring and interacting with the stuff with your imaginary senses: Vision, Touch, Hearing, Smell & Taste.
Now try going to your own bed and try and looking at yourself self, You will notice it's hard to make out your own face. Then lay down into your actual body and rest your mind for a while. Now go into a thought process like WILD in which you think about random stuff and try and float away in those images or whatever you feel. Then after some time before you fall into a deep sleep, (Which I can only describe as: not concentrated on thoughts as much and feel like you might pass out cold) get back up from your OBE out of your bed and do a reality check then relax your mind a bit by just chillin and trying to make the image of your room become stronger and slowly feel the dreamworld coming to life.
A lot of time if you don't get out of body in time you'll still end up in a dream. So if you have been reality checking, especially in your OBE then you'll probably come to, and if you got out successfully and you begin to see either dream signs, or anything else you mind has made itself you know your probably close to getting into a dream.
Just keep bouncing the Out of body experience to a thoughtless process of seeing whatever... Goodluck
Oh and also if it helps, I drink coffee when I wake up, chill for 20 minutes or so and go back to bed.
