Prospective Memory
It doesn't seem to get mentioned very often on DV. There's no tutorial about it. LD beginners mention doing countless RCs throughout the day but rarely mention prospective memory. Why is this?
I love training my prospective memory. It comes in useful in real life, and for LDing I've got to the stage where I will automatically ask, "Am I dreaming?" when I see some (not all) of my DSs. It gives me something to think about during the day and keeps me mindful. Even though I'm not sleeping I can know my daytime efforts are contributing to my chances of LDing.

May not be relevant to your question but.....Prospective memory in dream terms means to remember to do a specific task in the future...in this case the dream? But from what I experience about prospective memory in the dream is that it is almost non-existant on it's own unaided (no external cues or dreamsign to remind) in dreams, I don't know about other people's ability to retain prospective memory but I sure suck at it.... But what I do know to work is the prospective task for the next day meaning I have a specific task to do the next day but I'm in bed now..so it'll have to wait till tomorrow. For me depending on how urgent I need to get the task done it will appear in the dream as the dream theme. I tried it with ludcidity it worked sometimes...:D. I created a prospect, a need to reality check the next day and I ended up with a similar reality check scenario and became lucid.
