RC Fail?!

Hey guys

Last night i had a dream that was fairly long. I wasnt lucid or anything, but just at the end of my dream i wanted to RC. But just as i made the movement (plug nose - breathe) i woke up... Woke up just before completing my RC..

Any of you guys ever tried this?
And do you have any advice on not waking up before completing an RC?

It might have been the end of your REM cycle, in which case there is little you can do.

This probably won't happen very often, but a good way to avoid it is to not get too excited if you think you might be dreaming.

Well, you won't believe it jammero , but tonight I experienced the same for the first time in my life. I had a False awakening and I knew something was wrong, so the very moment I did the RC , I woke up. I was already too suspicious that I was dreaming and that might made me a bit excited and I woke up. :) Good luck next time.

Did you get excited at all at the prospect that it might be a dream? That could have shaken you out of it.
