I think I know cuz I tried a deild, when I woke up I stayed still and it went all fuzzy and stiff, does this mean I'm in a dream, I know it's sp but I just need to know what transitioning feels like for when I try it again.

I remember it briefly from my DEILD.
EDIT: Limbs going very numb etc. first.
You will forget about your body and will be focusing on any images that you are seeing, then you will suddenly have your eyes open (even though they're closed) and see your dream landscape.
Well that's how it happened for me, yours may be different.
Last night when attempting a WILD I swore I got to the transitional stage again...I stared into the darkness of my eyelids for a little while once I hit SP and my vision went blurry and it felt like my eyes were open again, but I fully woke up after (was only trying it before I went to sleep because I have seriously messed up my sleeping scedule over this time off).
for me it's always a scary transition, buzzing and humming noises gets extremely loud and intense then it feels like something if pulling me into a dream. seriously the transistion hits me like a train.
When trying a WILD for me it feels like my hypnogogia gets so vivid that it completely engulfs my field of view and gains color and more intense sounds and feeling. Then i know I'm in a dream :)
For me, when WILDing a transition is very clear. Going from consciousness to a dream has always involved some sort of physical sensation (falling, a sound that bellows so loudly you can feel it, floating and vibrations are a few I've experienced) and out of 9 transitions I've only had one where I didn't realize I transitioned. They are usually very distinct and unmistakable.
In the beginning I thought that my transitions were based off how I was laying in bed, but now that I've experienced a handful I know they vary drastically and really there is no set feeling or way to predict what will happen during your own transition.
Based off my personal experience the best way to feel a transition is wait for imagery. My mind is always filled with thoughts up until imagery, then once I notice it I clear my mind and try to fall asleep. Usually I will transition into a dream before consciously falling asleep.
Good luck :)
WILD/DEILD transitions seem to be a little different for me than everybody else.
Every time I successfully transition, I'm laying in bed and don't even notice that I've gone into a dream. Sometimes I may feel some slight "levitation" of my body, but besides that nothing really. I have to open my eyes to find out that I'm in a dream.
When I DEILD I either feel vibrations all over my body, or I feel vibrations and a sound of a loud train. I usually don't see any imagery but last time I did this I saw a brief glimpse of space. But anyway I wait untill these vibrations slow down and when that happens I immediately roll out of my bed, of course when I roll out it isn't my physical body that is rolling out.
EDIT: Lol why are we posting on a thread that is 2yrs old. I just noticed that.
For me going from sleep onset to lucid dreaming involves a sensation of going through a kind of portal... 'falling' into a dream world. It is a wild sensation and quite exhilarating. DILDs are much different as realizing I am in a dream is more subtle although just as joyful.
The vibrations come really strong for me. If can remember the things I see before, they're usually just colours in my field of vision, and the sounds always goes along with the vibrations I feel. The sound is usually coming from somewhere in my room, but it gradually intensifies as I feel the vibrations. DEILD is really quick for me, as I'd only remember a void before going straight to the dream. Though WILD is slower, they're both just intense with the vibrations.
