Sleep Paralysis experiences

Hey, I'm surprised there isn't a special section devoted to this stuff. I have frequent experiences of hypnopompia/hypngogia. It ranges from just lying there paralyzed waiting to be "released" to full blown visual, audio, tactile, you name it. Once I woke up and a man was starting right in my face, that freaked me out! Sometimes I have like TV windows that play dream video, that sometimes becomes my dream. It's just very shallow sleeping I think.

In fact just this morning I had an experience, it was 9:30am, I'm lying there in bed and suddenly I feel a rushing sensation over my body, and I feel myself sunk into this state. You can hear the wooshing sound of wind in your ears, and closing my eyes I can see helical geometric lights and sparkling, and I can hear a background "phantom radio or TV" playing, which is common for me. This time I just heard some voices, comical ones. One sounded like a New Yorker and the other sounded like MJ. They were talking to eachother, I asked them some questions and they gave me like half-ass answers laced with psycobable. It was very weird and it's cool there's a place to talk about it, I mean I didn't ask for this it just happens. Anyone have similar experiences?

How can you take advantage over this and have more control? I have very limited control, I feel like a spectator held hostage by my own mind and it's playing with me, showing me whose boss in bed!

I want to know how to control it too. I think I can get SP but I always freak out due to hearing stories of ZOMBIES. I always read about people entering SP seeing people with pits for eyes and things all in your face. Really, really discourages me from attempting WILD.

when i experience hypnagogic imagery, it's usually right as i'm falling asleep at night, and it is usually just brief flashes of really ridiculous scenarios in which i take no part, and am just observing.

sometimes they are really funny. my sister and i used to call it "pink plastic goats" before we knew there was a word for it, because when we shared a room as kids, we would often describe the funny things our brains showed us as we fell asleep. the best one was when she envisioned an endless line of pink plastic goats sidestepping in unison over a cliff.

but yeah, sometimes they are really scary too, like i often get visions of murderous little kids and weird stuff involving bloody body parts. whenever that happens, i start to shake my head really hard against the pillow, usually involuntarily, as if my head is an etch-a-sketch and i can shake out the bad images. this usually works for me.

other than that i don't know how to control it... maybe have a mantra that you repeat as you go to bed, like "no image can harm me," or something to that effect. good luck!
